Joe oversees all the firm’s matters and is regarded as one of the leading costs experts in Australia. In addition to legal costs, Joe has a general litigation practice, which includes professional negligence (acting for both plaintiff and defendant) and commercial litigation.
He has extensive experience in legal costs disputes, spanning multiple jurisdictions, having originally practised in England before moving to Australia. He is regularly instructed in multimillion dollar costs disputes and advises both National and Multinational law firms based on their invoicing and ongoing work.
Joe actively contributes to the legal profession by conducting a diverse range of seminars on cost-related topics, and works with pro bono organisations to facilitate recovery of their time acting on behalf of vulnerable individuals.
Joe has been instructed in a number of high-profile costs matters within the past 12 months and has been successful in setting precedents on legal costs.
When not working, Joe enjoys playing golf, is a certified scuba diver and free diver, and follows his beloved EPL team West Ham United.
